Audax Brevet 400km | Cycling Event in Latvia

📣Overview

The 2025 brevet season continues with an epic 400 km ride, starting and finishing in Upesciems, with key stops in Ērgļi, Vecpiebalga, Cēsis, and Saulkrasti. Given the distance, much of the ride—especially the finish—that can take place under the cover of night, adding an extra layer of challenge and excitement.

Safety First – Riding Requirements

To ensure everyone’s safety after dark, all bikes must be equipped with:

• Front and rear lights (firmly attached, fully functional)
• Rear lights set to steady mode (no flashing!)
• Reflective vests (mandatory for visibility)

Lights must remain on from dusk until dawn, as well as during poor visibility (rain, fog). Riders who fail to meet these requirements will not be permitted to start, and any rule violations during the ride will result in immediate disqualification.

Checkpoints & Support

Your Brevet card grants you access to free water and bananas at designated stops:

1. Ērgļi Railway Station – WC, water, bananas (stamp required)
2. Vecpiebalga (VIADA petrol station) – WC, water, bananas (stamp required)
3. Limbaži (CIRCLE K petrol station) – Photo checkpoint (a selfie as proof!)

At the finish, hand in your Brevet card for the final stamp—it will be held for 30 days for data processing before being returned.

• Possible road repairs in Suntaži and beyond Ērgļi (stay alert!)
• Finish line closes at 11:00 on 06.07.2025 – Plan your pace accordingly!
